The Kroks Are Turning 80!

To our esteemed guests, beloved alumni (and the general public who just might inexplicably buy a ticket),

It is with immense pride and mild disbelief that we welcome you to the Harvard Krokodiloes’ 80th Anniversary Weekend here in Cambridge, the sacred (and occasionally soggy) ground where it all began.

Eighty years ago, four particularly musical gentlemen of the Hasty Pudding Club decided to take their club’s noble traditions and turn it into a singing group, not based on any grand, musical vision, but on inspiration of a few dusty, taxidermized crocodiles hanging on the wall.

Since that glorious moment of inspiration – and humble beginnings – the Krokodiloes have spent eight decades perfecting their signature blend of sharp wit and premier musicality. We have shared ever-evolving (and evergreen) interpretations of the Great American Songbook to audiences across the world. We have entertained royalty, baffled Hollywood stars, and convinced Leonard Bernstein to compose for us.

We hope that you are able to join us this March to help us raise a glass and celebrate our 80 years of musicality, discovery, tradition, revelry, and cheek. We declare, once more, that Nunc Est Cantandum.
